At Dr. Ignacio García Espona’s dental clinic, we offer Invisalign in Granada to help you straighten your teeth using clear, custom and removable aligners instead of traditional wires and braces. Invisalign aligners are virtually undetectable, which means that no one needs to know that you are straightening your teeth. The Invisalign system uses advanced 3-D computer graphics technology in combination with the 100-year-old science of orthodontics.
Invisalign Clear Custom Aligners are designed to move your teeth in small increments, until they are in the final position that your orthodontist has determined for you. Each aligner is precisely manufactured and calibrated to fit your mouth at each stage of treatment.
The first step is to visit our dental clinic in Granada, so that our team can determine if Invisalign is the right orthodontic treatment option for you. After your precise treatment instructions have been submitted, Invisalign uses advanced computer technology to translate these instructions into a sequence of sets of finely calibrated aligners, of which there may be as few as 14 or as many as 48.
Each set of aligners is worn for about two weeks, only to be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing. As you replace each set of aligners with the next, your teeth will shift very gradually, until the final prescribed alignment is achieved. Then you will be smiling like you have never done before thanks to invisible orthodontics.
INVISALIGN FOR KIDS
What is Invisalign First?
The Invisalign First treatment is very similar to the standard Invisalign treatment except that it is designed to accommodate developing permanent teeth as they erupt.
Invisalign First can correct common orthodontic problems in children, such as arch development and expansion, tooth spacing, crowding, and can improve the overall appearance of the smile.
Invisalign First helps guide children’s teeth as they grow, which can lessen or eliminate the need for more extensive or invasive orthodontic treatment when they are older.
How does Invisalign First work?
Invisalign First expands and contours the jawline through a process called dental arch expansion. This process applies pressure to the teeth over time to increase the width of the dental arch.
Your child will attend a consultation at the dental clinic, during which the orthodontist will determine if your child is a candidate for this treatment.
If Invisalign First is right for your child, the orthodontist will begin treatment by taking pictures, X-rays and impressions of your child’s mouth, teeth and jaws. All of this will be sent to an Invisalign lab, where the first custom Invisalign aligners will be made for your child.
Once the aligners are ready, your child will attend an appointment at our clinic to adapt the aligner to their smile.
During treatment, the device will move your child’s teeth into their new positions. Depending on the severity of your child’s misalignment, they may need a pair of aligners (one for the upper jaw and one for the lower jaw) or just one aligner.
